*Bhopal/Mp:* Bhopal. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, MP Alok Sharma received special recognition during the "Raksha Bandhan Festival" organized by the BJP Guru Nanak Mandal of North Assembly. During the event, cleanliness workers, who play an active role in the city's sanitation drive, tied rakhi to MP Sharma, extending their warm wishes. These sisters have been tying rakhi to the MP for the past ten years.
This year, the number of sisters tying rakhi to MP Sharma rose to approximately 1500, highlighting the tradition's stability and impact. The sisters also expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav by presenting rakhis printed with the details of various government schemes.
MP Alok Sharma emphasized that the BJP government is fully committed to women's empowerment and highlighted the progress and welfare schemes under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past decade. He noted that these schemes have brought positive changes to the lives of millions of sisters and that the event is a beautiful example of Hindu-Muslim love and unity.
The ceremony was attended by Mayor Mrs. Malti Rai, Mandal President Rakesh Kukreja, and other prominent leaders, who described the occasion as historic and inspiring.
