Maharashtra Police takes Kalicharan Maharaj from Raipur jail to Pune, will appear in court tomorrow

Kalicharan Maharaj, who made objectionable remarks against minorities and Mahatma Gandhi in Raipur's 'Dharma Sansad', will be produced in a Pune court tomorrow.
Apart from Raipur, complaints were also registered against Kalicharan Maharaj in Akola and Pune of State Maharashtra.
The Pune Police had applied for a production warrant for the arrest of Kalicharan in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Raipur. After getting approval on this application, Pune Police arrested Kalicharan Maharaj from Raipur Jail and left for Pune.
It is worth noting that on December 26, while delivering his speech at the 'Dharma Sansad' held in Raipur, Kalicharan Maharaj, a resident of Akola, Maharashtra, had said, "The goal of Islam is to capture the nation through politics. They captured 47 in front of our eyes. Take it. Two or two captured in front of our eyes. Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan were already captured. Bangladesh and Pakistan were captured before us, they captured through politics."
After this, Kalicharan said about Mahatma Gandhi, "Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi has annihilated. Salutations to Nathuram Godse ji. Killed him... Look, it is very important to do the operation, these abscesses. Otherwise they become cancer."
On the basis of his statements, the Raipur Police had registered a case under sections 294, 505(2). Later, the police registered a case under sections 153 A (1) (A), 153 B (1) (A), 295 A, 505 (1) (B), 124A of the Indian Penal Code, including sections related to sedition.
