Gwalior // Public Works Department's executive engineer MK Udainiya has been suspended giving wrong information in the High Court. A bench of Chief Justice Ravi Malimath and Justice MR Phadke of Madhya Pradesh High Court has ordered the suspension of Executive Engineer MK Udainiya for giving wrong information. The petition will be heard again after two weeks. For the first time, the court has ordered the suspension of the executive engineer.
The Public Works Department had issued a tender for eleven and a half km long road from Chunaghat to Chowki via Dhaurra in Datia district. This road was to be prepared at a cost of 12 crores. Contractor Ravikant Bansal had also filled the tender for this road, but his tender was canceled saying that the balance sheet for the year 2020-21 was not presented. The contract was awarded to KP Singh Bhadauria. Ravikant Bansal challenged this tender in the High Court. The petitioner's advocate Amit Bansal argued that the grounds for presenting the balance sheet for 2020-21 have been canceled. This tender has been wrongly rejected. To give advantage to the opponent. Executive Engineer MK Udainiya replied on the order of the court. It was told on his behalf that the balance sheet of 2020-21 is not required. The Chief Justice considered the answer misleading. Additional Advocate General Ankur Modi was seeking additional time to reply, but the court did not grant him additional time. MK Udainiya has been ordered to be suspended. This is the first such order of the court, in compliance of which the officers will be suspended.
